My Car,My First Ever Car!

So this is my Suzuki Swift'grey coloured. It costs me about RM98,000(CBU Version),but ever since Suzuki started assembling the car in Pekan, Pahang, the price has gone down considerably.A lot more people can now afford a Swift.Alhamdulillah.

It's one hell of a cute looking car but not in a girly sort of way like, say, Toyota Yaris.Me,what sold me to this car was the look and the handling, and the price.

All in all, it's the closest you can get to a MINI Cooper if you are on a budget.I was actually not quite happy with taking public transportation. But public transportation in Malaysia is fine if it's you alone. If you have kids, you'll want a set of wheels.I looked at the options in the market.Boy, there were many. After a while, I decided on the Swift.

I also splurged a bit on the accessories:sport rims, window tint. I don't want to reveal the exact figure here. My mom might be reading this. She would not be amused. She would say"suke, membazir!".Anyway,I will come up with a proper review of the car plus more photos once I have my free time to update my blog.

My Nikon D60 'n' I

Love this camera! This is my first purchase of a digital SLR. I am impressed with the camera and lenses. I understand the limitations of the lenses, but also understand the affordability of what I purchased compared to the high-end, professional set ups. This works well and I know someday, I'll be able to upgrade to better lenses, etc.

I have been using digital only for inconsequential photos and stuck to film for pictures that I felt were more "important". This Nikon is just as reliable as my film SLR and easier to use. The onscreen overlay and retouching are great. I highly recommed this camera to all those doubtfuls still clinging to film.

Anjunabeats Volume Six Coming Out Soon!

Above & Beyond began 2008 playing to 1 million people on New Year’s Eve in Rio (thought to be the largest live DJ gig ever) - an auspicious start and another milestone in their fast-rising journey to becoming “one of Britain’s biggest dance outfits” (The Sun).

‘Anjunabeats Volume Six’ is the next installment in their highly successful label compilation series and features the pick of the label’s artists across Anjunabeats and housier offshoot Anjunadeep. Including numerous exclusives, as well as their own productions and remixes, Above & Beyond’s mix illustrates once again why both labels are magnets for electronic dance music connoisseurs.

Currently ranked No.6 in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs Poll, Above & Beyond were recently voted 11th in Mixmag’s list of the best dance acts of the past 25 years. Their weekly radio show is a regular fixture in the iTunes music podcast Top 10, mirroring the success of their recent OceanLab album, ‘Sirens Of The Sea’, which was a Top 10 seller in both the UK and US iTunes sales charts.

However, statistics tell only a fraction of the story. Their rise to global attention is seen through the eyes of tens of thousands of music fans worldwide each weekend. Now captured on their Youtube channel, Tony, Paavo, and Jono’s exploits have taken them to all four corners of the earth. Highpoints in recent months include selling-out London’s Ministry Of Sound, a monumental show in Beirut, a trail-blazing visit to Bolivia, and a bus tour across the USA, including a career-defining performance at the Coachella festival.

CD1 of ‘Anjunabeats Volume 6’ showcases the Anjunadeep sound, the deeper, atmospheric-end of the Anjuna spectrum that’s attracted champions such as Sasha, James Zabiela, and Desyn Masiello. Highlights include tracks from Jaytech, Komytea (aka Michael Cassette), Joonas Hahmo, Paul Keeley (‘ASOH’ as featured in Zabiela’s Glastonbury Essential Mix), Joonas Hahmo (‘Cocktail Bar’), Andy Moor (‘Fake Awake’), and more.

CD2 features the classy melodic trance sound that Anjunabeats is best known for, and includes Oceanlab (‘Breaking Ties’ - A&B Club Mix), the eagerly awaited club rework of one of the OceanLab album's standout tunes, Super 8 & Tab (‘Elektra’), Bart Claessen & Dave Schiemann’s Madness’ (I Prefer This Mix), and others.

OceanLab "Sirens Of The Sea"

One of my favourite artists Above and Beyond have combined talents with Justine Suissa to create an album that myself and many others have long awaited for. Bought my limited signed copy and hoping its on its way!!

From the interview: “Ibiza - the birthplace of modern dance music. 20 years on and the island remains an important catalyst for today’s hottest dance talents. This year, OceanLab, the project featuring Above & Beyond and singer/songwriter Justine Suissa spent several weeks holed up in a villa there finishing their debut album, ‘Sirens Of The Sea’.

Steeped in Balearic brilliance, ‘Sirens Of The Sea’ is a mix of blissed out epics and dancefloor cuts. An album of depth, variety and serene beauty, showcasing a level of songwriting and production rarely witnessed within electronic music, and already drawing comparisons with bands such as Zero 7 and Everything But The Girl.

As OceanLab, Tony, Paavo and Jono’s work with Justine has led to a string of club anthems such as ‘Clear Blue Water’ (Top 50 UK Sales Chart), ‘Sky Falls Down’ and ‘Beautiful Together’, with each release adding to OceanLab’s reputation as one of clubland’s best loved vocal dance projects. They crossed into the mainstream consciousness when their 4th single, ‘Satellite’, was A-listed on Radio 1 and broke into the Top 20 of the UK sales chart, enjoying similar success globally.
